This is a list of events and festivals scheduled to be hosted in different places across Romania in 2024. Please note that date may change due to different circumstances but as at now the date and time are accurate.

From December 13th, 2023 to May 12th, 2024, experience the magic at Bucharest's ARCUB/Hanul Gabroveni as it hosts "The Universe of Salvador Dalí" special exhibit. Immerse yourself in the surreal world of the Spanish artist with 170 captivating works including sculptures, engravings, drawings, gold and gem miniatures, as well as lithography, alongside surrealist furniture. This extraordinary event is curated by the esteemed Italian expert in Modern Art, Beniamino Levi. (Exhibition - Event "The Universe of Salvador Dalí")

From March 8 to July 28 2024, the 12th edition of the art event Art Safari will cover four  different exhibitions

 

●     A retrospective dedicated to the work of Romanian painter Ion Theodorescu Sion (1882-1939), this will be curated by the popular Elena Olariu

●     An exhibition looking at the career of the Spanish painter Joaquin Sorolla (1863 - 1923), curated by the well known Helena Alonso;

●     The Memory Palace - a selection of 8 different artists and two artists that participated in the Marcel Duchamp Prize in the past fifteen years from the French art scene, curated by Daria de Beauvais;

●     Young Blood 2.0. – an exhibition of contemporary Romanian art curated by Mihai Zgondoiu.

The Belgian pop singer and songwriter has two concerts lined up in the country: one at Sala Palatului in Bucharest on April 21st, and the other at BT Arena in Cluj on April 23rd.

The date for MASSIF 2024 is set for March 14-17 in Poiana Brașov. Both UNTOLD and Neversea, two of the best music festivals in Romania, are behind this one. Fans of music, comedy, and winter sports, as well as social adventurers, can find something to their liking at MASSIF.

Bookfest (May 29- June 2), one of Bucharest's two major book fairs, will have Italy as the featured nation this year. There will be further regional gatherings of this kind in cities like Timișoara, Cluj-Napoca, and Brașov.

June 3, As part of the promotional tour for his album "The Mandrake Project," the iconic lead singer of Iron Maiden will take the stage at Arenele Romane in Bucharest. This marks his return to solo material after nearly 20 years.

On June 13-14, 2024, Coldplay comprises Chris Martin on vocals, Jon Buckland on guitar, Guy Berryman on bass, and Will Champion on drums. The band is renowned globally and stands as one of the most successful rock bands of the past millennium, having sold over 50 million albums.

In an exciting announcement, Coldplay, one of the most renowned rock bands, revealed plans for a 2024 European tour. Romania is included in the list of countries where this British sensation will be performing.

This year marks the 23nd edition of Romania's premier international film festival (June 14-23). In addition to the main competition for first- and second-time directors, the festival also accepts submissions for its documentary, Romanian Days, and other non-competitive sections from Romanian and foreign filmmakers.

July 5-7 - The SAGA Festival, held annually in Bucharest in the National Arena, is a must-visit for anybody looking for a memorable festival experience. There's a mystery box at the heart of the plot. Once a year, the box makes an appearance in the city.

July 4-7 - The lineup for one of Romania's largest music festivals will include performances by both internationally renowned DJs and producers and homegrown talent. Water sports and imaginative workshops will also be available.

June 21-30 - This year marks the 31th year of this premier theatrical and performing arts festival, which annually attracts A-listers and a wide range of events, sections, and performances to the Romanian city of Sibiu.

July 7 - July 15 - This year marks the 30th year of the festival, which features jazz, blues, pop, and classical music. There will be a coffee festival, competitions, seminars, and master courses alongside the music nights.

July 17-July 21 - Part of the roster for this year's event at Banffy Castle in Bonţida, near Cluj, has already been revealed, and it features such acts as Iggy Pop, The Chemical Brothers, George Ezra, and The Hu.

The yearly event taking place in Brezoi, in Vâlcea county, announced the first names in its lineup, which includes, for the main stage, Kaz Hawkins, Mr. Sipp "The Mississippi Blues Child", Shemekia Copeland, Anthony Gomes, Selwyn Birchwood, DeWolff, Bywater Call, Dom Martin, Jonathon "Boogie" Long, The BluesBones, Nightlosers, Vasko The Patch, Ben Poole & Band with special guest Guy Smeets, and Annika Chambers-DesLauriers. More will be announced.

July 26-28 - This year's rock festival in Sibiu will include performances from a wide variety of acts, including Wardruna, Haken, TesseracT, Port Noir, and Vulture Industries.

August 7-10 - In 2024, around 360 thousand individuals visited the event in Cluj-Napoca. EDM, techno, tech-house, deep-house, house, trance, hip-hop, pop, drum'n'bass, trap, dubstep, trip-hop, and more will all be represented this year in the festival's lineup of live bands and performances.

August 9-11 , The festival features both foreign and local artists from a wide variety of fields and takes place in the Stirbei Domain in Buftea, a suburb of Bucharest.

August 31-September 22 - This year marks the 27th edition of the country's major classical music festival, and conductor Cristian Măcelaru's debut as artistic director. The festival will include performances by world-renowned ensembles including the London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and the Wiener Philharmoniker.

The 2019 edition of the festival in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, which was named Europe's Best Small Festival in 2019, will include performances by a variety of well-known musicians scheduled for early 30 August- 1 September.

October 4 – 13 ,In Romania, this is the only animation festival that exists. There are feature-length and short-film competitions, as well as extensive retrospectives and spotlights on a number of nations, animation companies, and film schools.

November 16 - January 3 - The Sibiu Christmas Market is a popular annual event in Romania, held in the historic center of Sibiu. It features traditional handicrafts, food and drink stalls, and entertainment options for visitors.

August 24 - The British musician, as part of his Mathematics Tour, is set to return to Romania for a concert at Bucharest's Arena Națională. Calum Scott joins him as a special guest. The British artist previously graced Romania's stages in 2019 during the promotion of his Divide album.
